How to get online access
Complete our online registration process to access your secure information online—including commission statements and client information.
If you don't have an ID, please call 1-800-210-1106.

Select the first option, "I'm currently appointed to sell Symetra products," and complete the registration form. If you're not yet appointed with Symetra, choose one of the other options.
During the registration process, you'll be asked to:
- Provide your Social Security number and Symetra ID, also known as your Stat or Writing number.
- Create a username and password, and set up security questions to protect your account.
Once you're registered, click on the "Log in to My Account" link in the upper right corner of www.symetra.com.

Commission payments and statements
If you're a producer, please refer to your back office for commission information.
Get paid electronically
You must complete an EFT application. Use this same form to edit your current EFT information.
For your convenience, your commission statement is downloadable in Excel format. To retrieve:
- Log into the commission statement tool.
- Choose the monthly statement that you would like to download.
- From the menu bar, click on "Download Commission Statement" and follow download instructions.
*Downloading tips can be located in the grey menu bar on the top right of the commission statement tool.
Symetra offers weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly electronic (EFT) commission payment options.
Check the payment calendar (PDF) to see when to expect your next commission payment. Payment dates may change due to holidays.

At Symetra, we're concerned for the environment and have provided a number of ways to reduce our carbon footprint. For example, we pay all commissions electronically to reduce paper, and we offer you the ability to view your commission statements online, and download them as PDFs.
Producer of record change
You can change a policy's insurance producer of record by downloading and completing the form below. All insurance producer change requests require a policy holder signature unless an agency or principal is transferring the agent of record within their organization.
Upon receipt, we'll review the form for proper signatures, insurance producer appointments and sales agreement status. If there are any issues with the request, it will be returned with an explanation of what's required for approval.

Insurance producer training requirements
General annuity training
Insurance producers must comply with all general annuity training requirements for states where they plan to solicit Symetra annuity business.
Symetra will make every attempt to verify a producer's general annuity training completion(s), but we may request proof of completion from producer if the independent verification is unsuccessful.
If an insurance producer submits business and is then determined to be out of compliance, the business may be returned.
General annuity training requirements vary by state and situation. Symetra's Agency Services Licensing team can assist in determining any state specific requirements that may apply.

Insurance producers must comply with all state and federal suitability requirements in states where they plan to hold a Symetra appointment.
Symetra requires a secondary suitability review by an approved broker-dealer on all annuity products. If annuity business has not been reviewed by an approved broker-dealer, a secondary suitability review will be conducted at no additional charge through a broker-dealer designated by Symetra.
New York best interests standard
New York revised Reg. 187 to place new requirements on insurance producers related to New York's "Best Interest" standard. The "Best Interest" standard expands the existing suitability criteria and requires agents, resident and non-resident, to act in the best interest of the customer when recommending transactions, with attention to given to whether the sale meets the financial and insurance needs of the customer.
All insurance producers conducting New York Annuity sales after Aug. 1, 2019, or New York Life sales after Feb. 1, 2020, must complete a NY Reg. 187 suitability course. Insurance producer communications
We use the email address you provide as our main means of contact. To ensure you receive information in a timely fashion, please email email@example.com with your email or mailing address changes.
Advisories are notifications of contractual or regulatory nature. We send all regulatory or sales agreement (your contract with Symetra) updates by email. These advisories contain such things as changes in commission schedules and paperwork requirements, so it's important that you review them.
